Anna Žabicka

Anna holds a master’s degree in social and cultural anthropology from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) and from Rīga Stradiņš University (Riga, Latvia). Her main research interests are in medical anthropology, ageing, care, and health equity. In 2019 she started a new project on the intersection of state and kinship in Latvian elder care centers. She received the Marietta Blau Grant in 2022 to pursue her research project.
